On December 9 of the current year, International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the representatives of Ankara Businessmen and Industrialists Association “ANKISAD”, Turkey. The Secretary General of the Association Mr. Osman Chalishkan met the guests.The field of interest of 8 people delegation was introduction of the investment environment of Ajara region. The businessmen plan to implement the investment projects in the future.

1. Prior to the construction an interested person asks the appropriate design firm for the construction project (the fees are decided under the agreement)

2. After the creation of the project the project firm submits request for agreement to the Batumi mayor’s office.

3. If the Batumi Mayor’s Office likes the project the consumer will pay fee in connection with the issuance of building permit (price is calculated according to the per square meter)

4. After obtaining the permission related to the construction, the user will have a right to begin the works according to the made project.

5. During the construction any changes must be agreed with mayor’s office. The draft amendments contain the same procedures as it is for taking permit of construction.

6. If the person decides to put up a fence around the building, in order to be secured, he will file the demand to the Batumi mayor’s office in written form for the permission connected to the fencing, for which the person should attach the fencing plan drawing.

7. If the consumer is going to make a temporary advertising, the inscriptions of banners must be in Georgian, English and other language chosen by him (in the case of existence). Tags must be uniformed in the same size and quality.

8. A person who carries out the construction works must have a security engineer on the staff, which controls on building the safety of the workers, otherwise the responsible person will be the firm’s director in the case of accident may occur during construction.

9. During the construction of such works which don’t appear, must be made secret acts.

10. During the construction is mandatory to have an engineer on the staff.

11. After completion of the works, the consumer applies to the mayor’s office for the building operations (to be suitable for recognition)

12. When the object constructed by the Batumi city hall is suitable for recognition the building must be registered.

1. At first the consumer to adopt the technical condition must make a request to Ltd “Energo Pro Georgia” in written form, in the statement the user must indicate the capacity and the output of the equipment of the facility, also the total output of the Electric Power.

2. After gaining the technical requirement, the person have to apply to the design firm, to make project the design agreement must be carried out by the company ”Energo Pro Georgia”.

3. After the project agreement, the consumer will be able to start the works of electric power installation.

4. When the installation is over, the user files the request in written form to the company” Energo Pro Georgia” and the person demands to be inspected the performed work. (According to the project agreement)

5. When the works complete, the consumer requires to be chased the subscriber.

6. Ltd”Energo Pro Georgia” determines the expenditure of the technical terms made by ltd “Energo Pro Georgia”.

1. A person wishing water and sewerage connection to the unit must take an appropriate technical term. To obtain the technical condition, the consumer have to apply to the company Ltd ”Batumi Water”, for which he must present a site plan, as well as the information about the water used by the facility. To accept the technical rules it is mandatory to pay an appropriate fee set by Ltd ”Batumi Water”.

2. After accepting the agreement, it is needful to submit a request to Batumi Hall to be permitted to dig the streets or the other running areas and pull water or sewage pipes in it.

3. The city hall will give the person tour paper, after which it is obligatory to be signed the agreement by the mentioned organizations in the sheet and also the organizations must be warned before beginning the installation works.

4. After accomplishment of the third point (abovementioned 3rd section) the person himself can or through the appropriate organization carry out the installation of the water and sewage pipes.

5. The person must inform Ltd “Batumi Water” about fulfilling of the installation, after which the company itself carries out the connection works.

1. Initially, an interested person must accept a technical condition from Ltd “Socar Gas Ajara”, for which he must apply to the company and in written form give information about what types of equipment to be installed on object and output of the installed equipment.

2. When the user obtains the technical condition, gas installation project of the object is required.

3. After taking gas supply project, the consumer must submit a request to a licensed installation company for providing with the installation of the project works.

4. After the installation the person together with the agency which implements the installation works, have to make a request to the operation firm, for which the consumer must pay a fee of the natural gas connection. After the signing contract the person will be supplied by natural gas.

5. To make a demand for gas installation, it is necessary to have a responsible person in gas sector with an appropriate certificate.

6. The term of the gas installation project the works of natural gas connection is determined under the agreement of the parties (an agreement signed between the sides).

On December 2 of the current year, board of governors gathered at International Investors Association. The reason of the meeting was election of chairman of association. The board members elected new chairman of association, Turkish businessman Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and deputy of chairman - regional representative of GPI Holding Nino Patsia.

On November 29 of the current year, International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the president and CEO of  “Korston” Hotels and Malls Mr. Anatoliy Kuznetsov, chairman of textile industry and trade company ”ATK” Murat Turkmen and the representative of the textile company “M.A.S” Ulku Alkojlar. The Secretary General of association hosted the guests. On the meeting the representatives spoke about the activities of the association, the tourism potential of Georgia and they also discussed the existed problematic issues in the tourism sphere. They plan to construct two 5 Star hotels in Batumi in the future.
