On September 9, 2022, business forum titled "Diagonal cumulation between Georgia, Türkiye and the European Union - trade and investment opportunities" was held in Tbilisi. In its earlier comments, the state body said diagonal cumulation would support further development of textile, furniture manufacture, construction, plastic and steel product sectors as well as paper and cardboard manufacturing. The forum was attended by Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Mushi, Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, USAID Georgia Mission Head John Penelli, "Enterpice Georgia" Agency Director Mikheil Khidureli,  Chairman of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgi Pertaya, representatives of Georgian and Turkish companies and associations attended the forum. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the DEİK/Türkiye-Georgia Business Council and International Investors Association of Georgia also attended the mentioned forum. Mr. Osman noted that diagonal cumulation will help attract new investments and increase jobs.
