The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) Business Councils elections was held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Istanbul. Osman Chaliskan was elected as the chairman of the DEİK/Turkey-Georgia Business Council. DEiK its establishment in 1985, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) was assigned with the following tasks: to organise and manage the foreign economic relations of the Turkish private sector, in particular with respect to foreign trade, international investments, services, contracting and logistics; to analyse investment opportunities at home and abroad; to help boost the country’s exports, and to coordinate similar business development activities. "Georgia and Turkey are two friendly countries that have close ties with each other. The commercial and economic relations between the two countries are developing gradually. Today, the number of foreign investors, including Turk investors, has increased in Georgia. DEİK plays an important role in the economic development of the two countries.We hope that together with the governments of the two countries, diplomatic representatives and member companies, we will be able to contribute to the Turkish-Georgian trade and economic activities in the future through various activities, "said Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze.
